This Privacy Policy applies to your use of Rudram: SEO Image Optimizer through a Shopify store. Please read it carefully before installing or using the App.
What information does the App collect?
Rudram: SEO Image Optimizer is provided by Rudram Software Solutions. When you install or use the App, it may access the information needed to deliver image optimization and SEO features: your Shopify store name, store domain, shop email, installation status, product and collection image references, image filenames, image alt text, image dimensions, formats, and optimization settings or results. The App is designed for store media and does not require customer, order, payment-card, or checkout data for its image optimization features.
How are images and image details used?
When you ask the App to analyze or optimize an image, it processes the relevant image asset and technical metadata to complete that request. This can include checking image size, format, dimensions, filename, and alt-text status. If you choose an option that updates image information in Shopify, the App applies the update only through the permissions granted during installation and according to the action you initiate.
How do we use your information?
We use App information to provide image optimization and SEO-related features, authenticate and maintain your installation, respond to support requests, communicate important product or service updates, protect the App from fraud or misuse, diagnose technical problems, and improve performance and usability. We may also use information to meet applicable legal, accounting, or regulatory requirements.
When is information shared?
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only when needed to operate and support the App, comply with legal obligations, protect our rights and users, or complete a business transaction. This can include service providers that assist with infrastructure, storage, error monitoring, email delivery, support, billing, or security. These providers may use information only to provide their services to us or where required by law. Shopify and any other third-party service you use have their own privacy practices.
How long do we keep information?
We retain information only for as long as needed to provide the App, resolve support or technical issues, meet legal or accounting obligations, and enforce our agreements. If you uninstall the App, access to your Shopify store is removed in accordance with Shopify’s processes. You may contact us to request deletion of information that is no longer required for these purposes, subject to applicable legal retention obligations.
How do we protect information?
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your Shopify account credentials secure and contact Shopify immediately if you suspect unauthorized account access.
What privacy choices and rights do you have?
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of the personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to object to certain processing or request a copy of your information. Rudram may process information in India and other locations where Rudram or its service providers operate. The App is intended for business users and is not directed to children. We may update this policy when the App, our practices, or legal requirements change; the current version will always show a revised “Last updated” date.
